Letter from son to father
Part of a letter, probably from a son to his father, referring to the addressee's criticism and pointing out that the father was the reason for his marriage and the difficulties that followed. Before the marriage, the writer reached out to his father through the late Aqa Mirza Riza while in the presence of ‘Illiyah ‘Aliyah Aqa Baji and through Haji Mirza Hasan Vazir, but the father dismissed his son's appeals and even threatened to disown him. He goes on to say that he is still suffering in a far land, and that despite having two children, he would have relieved himself of this marriage if...

Power of attorney for collection of holdings and divorce, 1906
Power of attorney given by Mirza Fazl Allah Nazim al-Zakirin, son of Sayyid Lutf Allah Nazim al-Zakirin, on March 18, 1906, to Mirza Zayn al-‘Abidin, son of Haji Muhammad Hasan from Shiraz, in order to get his money back from his wife Malik Khanum, daughter of Abu al-Fath, and to divorce her (preserving the right of return for the husband). A note on the margin gives power of attorney to divorce Malik Khanum without the above clause.

Deposition about debt, 1900
Karbalayi Abu al-Qasim Nahhas [the copper seller], son of Karbalayi Zayn al-‘Abidin Nahhas, confirms that he owes two hundred tumans to his wife Bibi Ruqiyah, daughter of Karbalayi Muhammad Riza ‘Attar [the herbalist], which he will pay back in five years. He also puts one-third of a house in the Sarbagh neighborhood of Shiraz as a security deposit until he pays his debt completely.

Includes receiving the addressee's letter about Mukhtar Al-Saltanah's residence, and despite the high price, ‘Izzat al-Dawlah insists on buying the residence; the author's excuse for ‘Izzat al-Dawlah that Mukhtar al-Saltanah did not accept the writer's deal; and suggesting building a residence for Nusrat al-Dawlah in the garden of the addressee, because of the cost-effectiveness.
